Early childhood family music and movement class age 18 mos. (walking age) – 5 yrs: This class will use the well respected Musikgarten curriculum to teach young children to love music making. Music is a gift from the Lord that is intended to glorify Him and draw our hearts to love Him. The most important time to teach people to love music is the early years of childhood. There are so many benefits to music training for young children including:

  • symbolic thinking
  • concentration

  • memory

  • appropriate expression of thoughts and feelings

  • group participation

  • motor skills

  • impulse control

Parents and young children will enjoy the natural bond that comes from making music together!

Cost: $60 (per child). We’re offering a multi-child discount for this class. The 2nd child in the same family is $40, and each additional child after that will be $20.

* ABOUT CLASS LEVELS: To qualify for strings class 2 (if class 1 isn’t completed), or to advance to class 3 or class 4, students will need to take and pass an informal audition with specific requirements (on Friday, August 8). We will send those requirements out to students after registration (or before, by request), and we’ll set up a time with parents and students when auditions will take place. If you are registering your child in the same level as last year, audition is not required. Please register your child for the class you think will best fit their abilities. Some adjustments may need to be made to class levels after registration & auditions.
