Children's Ministry

Overview

Through a variety of avenues, we desire to care for and shepherd children from diapers to discipleship. It is our desire to come alongside parents and equip, encourage, and edify them as they strive to raise their children in the knowledge and fear of the Lord.

Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart
from it.

Proverbs 22:6

Ministry Philosophy

The Children & Youth Ministries of Faith Community Church exist to glorify God through evangelizing our children, encouraging our parents, and edifying our servants, so that our children know the gospel, our families grow in strength, and our leaders show maturity. The emphasis of each ministry is the study, memorization, and application of God’s Word. In addition, we desire to walk alongside parents, encouraging and equipping them in their God-given roles. We emphasize parental involvement in the classroom and provide resources and tools for parents to more effectively nurture the faith of their children at home.

What We Teach

Our main weekly time of teaching is during our Sunday Bible study hours at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Beginning with our two-year olds, we teach each child about the storyline or the drama of the Bible. We explain how God, who is from everlasting to everlasting, created all things for His glory and in time revealed Himself to mankind in many ways, but most fully in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe this will lay a foundation that is critical for children to have in order for them to understand God’s plan of redemption and the significance of the gospel.
